SAAC’s Championship Weekend 2017 at Centennial Stadium was a huge success on all ends of the spectrum. Firstly, we would like to take this time to thank all SAAC Academies who put in a tremendous amount of work in both on and off the pitch the entire season and especially preparing for SAAC Championship Weekend. We congratulate all of you on a tremendous season and are already looking forward to seeing you again in the Spring. Here are the results from Day One and Two of #SAACChampionship Weekend

U16 Male: vs.
In our first match of SAAC Championship Weekend, Spring Champions (Futuro SA) and Fall Champions (FC Durham) played a great match which saw two penalties being saved, one from each team! The game ended 3-1 with FC Durham Academy taking home the 2017 U16M Academy Cup.
U20T2 Male: vs.
We follow that up with Spring Champions (Sigma FC B1) who took on Fall Champions (ANB Futbol JR.) in the U20T2M Academy Cup Final. A very strong showing from ANB Futbol saw them keep a clean sheet against Sigma FC with a 3-0 victory.
U20 Male: vs.
Finally, we wrapped up ‘Day One’ of Championship Weekend with Spring and Fall Champions (Sigma FC – A1) taking on Runners Up (FC Durham Academy) in the U20M Academy Cup Final. An absolutely enthralling match that came down to penalties! FC Durham and Sigma FC exchanged goals ultimately ending 3-3 after the full-time whistle. A save from the Sigma FC keeper corralled them to complete the treble and win the U20M Academy Cup.
