It is National Signing Day and SAAC has some tremendous news to announce!
Below is a list of academy players within SAAC that have signed with colleges/universities today. We wish them continued success and growth in the sport!
Faisal Ghaffur (Sigma FC) – Akron University
Sean Merrick (Sigma FC) – College of the Holy Cross
Simon Triantafillou (Sigma FC) – Syracuse University
Interestingly enough, Chris Nanco who was recently selected 55th overall by the Philadelphia Union at the 2017 MLS SuperDraft is also a Sigma FC and Syracuse grad. He shared some kind words for Simon and Sigma via Twitter:
Lindsay Albani (FC Durham) – Jacksonville State University
Bayley Sullivan (FC Durham) – Niagara University
Remeya Ganesh (FC Durham) Mississippi Valley State Unviersity
Ronia Pierre-Louis (FC Durham) – Mississippi Valley State University
Tia Williams (FC Durham) – Morehead State University
Co-Founder of FC Durham Academy, Rich Hirst, had some kind words for Williams in an interview with the Morehead State Eagles:
“It is exciting for Tia and her family to be joining the Morehead State University family,” Hirst said. “Tia has been in our academy program for four years and has taken many strides forward on the field, in the classroom, and as a person.
